WHAT IS THE DIFFERENT BETWEEN LENS2 CLEANER AND TRADIOTIONAL METHOD?

Hello guys! Again about lens2 cleaner. What is so special about it. And lets compare between lens2cleaner and traditional method. Lets have a look together. :)

THE CLEANING STEPS...

1. Lens2cleaner will be your easier way to clean up your lenses. Just put the lens into the basket and put the basket in the cup. Fill in MPS until fully submerge. Close the cap properly and put in cleaning slot. Press start button and it will stop automatically in 3 seconds. Easy, fast and save time! To keep the lens clean just use the pump to wear the lenses. So, no contamination allowed.

2. Well guys, your traditional method will be vise versa. It takes longer time than lens2cleaner. You need to rub the lens in the palm of your hand with solution. Rinse the lens to remove debris. Then, it is ready to use. Put the lens on top of your finger and wear it.

However, all kind of ways have good and bad in the same time. Some wearer choose to use traditional method because they can rub the lens by themselves. No doubt! And they believe in traditional way. But some wearer are willing to try something new and convenience for them.

PORTABLE

Do we realize lens2cleaner is portable? And it is convenience to use in emergency cases, traveling or even outdoors activities such as in the flight, hiking, climbing etc. No hand needed!

However, certain wearer still believe traditional method will keep your lens clean and hygiene.

What ever it is... The choice is yours! Both of them are good and recommended. And you are the person who are responsible to keep your hygiene well. If your eyes having trouble due to contact lens... it is not because of these method but it is about yourself! And do not forget to change your contact lens casing within 3 months.

Thanks and regards,
Damia :)

WHY SPORT SUNGLASSES IS IMPORTANT TO CYCLIST...

Hello cyclist! Do you realize how important sport sunglasses for you?

Some of us do not bother to have sport sunglasses which are all to do with safety.

Firstly, there is nothing wrong with wearing fashionable eyewear, the design is made for keeping dirt, dust and other debris out of your eyes while you are cycling. The wrap around frames help to keep the wind from blowing into your eyes, which affecting vision if eyes start to dry out, and also a big problem for those who wear contact lenses like me! hehe. So there a big element here concerned with looking after your eyes.

The next misconception about road cycling glasses is that people use different colored lenses in them. Some think they wear it because they are posers or narcissistic or want to be famous among others! Hrmm, they might be, but that is not necessarily! People wear green lenses or amber or yellow because of ambient lighting conditions, and different colors give riders a better ability to see in the changing conditions they might encounter on long rides.

So in extremely bright conditions, highly effective sunglasses are required. Dark gray lenses will be the perfect choice to block out as much light and glare as possible without interfering cyclist’s vision. In this kind of intense light, and the milder lighting of a moderately sunny day, the amber lenses can play an important role in helping to improve contrast. The better contrast enables cyclist to see obstacles in the road, such as potholes or larger debris. This is important to avoid bike crash.

When light conditions deteriorate, yellow lenses can be worn as there may still be a substantial risk of glare, especially when there is broken cloud, with the sun constantly being hidden and reappearing. Yellow cycle lenses can reduce this type of glare and allow you to see the road clearly. Green lenses also play a similar role if you are constantly riding between alternating bright and overcast conditions; they can help to give a good depth-perception and are anti-glare, so are therefore a good all-rounder.

Finally there are photochromatic lenses or also known as transition lenses which have coatings that react in real time to changes in ambient light. So in bright sunlight they darken, and look like proper sunglasses; whereas in darker lighting, such as early morning and dusk or on overcast days, they become lighter to let more light into the eyes of the wearer.

So as a serious cyclist, now you are realize that it’s a great idea to own at least one pair of cycling eyewear. If you invest in a single pair, it is probably best to go for the photochromatic type. Or if you spend a huge amount of time on the road, then you should either get a pair for bright light and a separate pair for darker conditions. Or there are several types on the market that have easily detachable lenses. Just buy a set of different colored ones, and switch them to the correct ones for the type of light you are about to venture out in. Cycling glasses are not just a fashion statement but they are fashionable though. But they are also an important piece of safety equipment.

HALOS

Latin name it as halo... Greek name it as halos... But what is halo actually?

Refers to The Free Dictionary by Farlex said halos is:

1.a. A circular band of colored light around a light source, as around the sun or moon, caused by the refraction and reflection of light by ice particles suspended in the intervening atmosphere.
b. Something resembling this band.
2. A luminous ring or disk of light surrounding the heads or bodies of sacred figures, such as saints, in religious paintings; a nimbus.
3. The aura of majesty or glory surrounding a person or thing that is regarded with reverence, awe, or sentiment.

But lets talks about halos in optical perception. In some cases, halos is an indicator for certain diseases such as glaucoma, corneal edema, corneal inflammation, diabetes, diabetic lens osmosis, cataract and etc.

So, visual halos is seeing halos around objects or lights. So, be careful when u seeing halos but please do not misdiagnosis. :)

  2. Optic Nerve is a bundle of more than 1 million nerve fibers that carries visual messages from the retina to the brain
  3. Ciliary body is the ciliary muscle is a ring-shaped muscle attached to the iris. It is important because contraction and relaxation of the ciliary muscle controls the shape of the lens
  4. Iris is the colored part of the eye that regulates the amount of light entering the eye.

WERE HEAVY MAKE UP EFFECT THE EYE?

This is an interesting topic to be discussed. :)

I believe ladies nowadays like to wear make up and so am I. Make up is an art which can make face more beautiful. Do you agree that if I say eyes is the most prominent facial feature? Therefore, the eye make up is considered to be very important and very interesting facial feature to be discussed.
Study showed that the heavy eye make-up favoured by ancient Egyptians such as Cleopatra may have had medical as well as aesthetic benefits, French research suggests.

Actually, make up contain a lead salt. At very low levels, salts produce nitric oxide, which boosts the immune system to fight off bacteria which can cause eye infection. :)

But, study also showed that lead can posed you to risk of health. In theory, lead is a poisonous metal that can damage nervous connections and cause blood and brain disorders.

How about modern make up? The theory will be the same
. :)

So, my advised will be like this... If you want to apply make up on your face it will be nice but please don't apply it so heavy.
Chill!!! :)

THE IMPORTANT OF YOUR EYEBROW TO YOUR EYES =)

Physically eyebrow is mainly function to prevent moisture, such as salty sweat and rain from flowing into the eye. Surprisingly, the shape of the eyebrow with a slant on the side and the direction in which eyebrow hairs are pointed, make the moisture flow sideways around the eyes, along the side of the head and along the nose. Another interesting info are, the eyebrows also shade the eyes from sunlight and also prevent debris such as dandruff and other small objects from falling into the eyes. :)

HOW FAR CARROTS WORK FOR YOUR EYES

Good morning everybody! Have you heard that carrots can cure your blurry vision? How true is is? Or it is only just a myths?

Unfortunately, carrot cannot improve your vision. However, it can prevent your eyes from getting worse.

Carrots are rich in beta carotene, which can be converted into vitamin A in our body. Vitamin A is important to retina. As we know, vitamin A deficiency is a leading cause of blindness.

Carrots also contain a compound called lutein, an antioxidant almost always paired with zeaxanthin. Studies have shown that eating foods rich in lutein and zeaxanthin can increase the pigment density in the macula-and greater pigment density means better retina protection, and a lower risk of macular degeneration. Other lutein rich foods include kale, spinach, Swiss chard and other dark leafy greens.

What ever it is, eating carrots are still good for your eyesight! :)

GLAUCOMA

Glaucoma is a disease which can steal your vision without sign. Hence, it is known as 'silent killer'.

Glaucoma has been rated the second most common cause of blindness worldwide and the number one cause of irreversible blindness.

Glaucoma is a result of optic nerve damage and some cases is associated with increased preasure of the fluid in the eye. Your intraocular preasure (IOP) should not be more than 22 mmHg or 2.9kPa.

These are common examination to detect glaucoma:

1. Measurement IOP via tonometry.
2. Changes in size or shape of the eye.
3. Anterior chamber angle examination or gonioscopy
4. Examination of the optic nerve to look for any visible damage or
change in the cup-to-disc ratio and also rim appearance and
vascular change.

5. Visual field test

Do you realize that early eye examination can prevent your eyes from glaucoma?

Do you notice that nowadays glaucoma affects more than 67 million people worldwide, 6.7 million of whom are blind?

And reminder for youngsters in Malaysia! Previously, the disease usually affected people above 45, but now even those in their early 20s and 30s are afflicted. :(

"In 2008, a total of 1,269 Malaysians sought treatment for glaucoma in government hospitals while 7,238 went to specialist centres," Deputy Health Minister Datuk Rosnah Rashid Shirlin said (written on Sat, Mar 13, 2010 New Straits Time).

Are we really concern about low vision? do we know what is low vision?

Low vision means visual impairment that even with regular glasses, contact lenses, medicine, or surgery, performing daily tasks such as reading, cooking, and working seem challenging due to deteriorated central or peripheral (side) vision.

Low vision can range from mild partial visual impairment such as Macular Degeneration, to tunnel vision, for example Retinitis Pigmentosa, and then to total blindness. Low vision can result from a variety of diseases, disorders, and injuries that affect the eye.
